About the Birla Center

Located in the heart of Westmount, Quebec, the Palmistry Center was established in 1972 by
Ghanshyam Singh Birla. Ghanshyam is a renowned palmist and author of several books, including Love in the Palm of Your Hand, published by Inner Traditions & Bear Co., and has been translated into many languages.
In 1998, The Palmistry Center expanded its activities to include a 500-acre retreat, The Birla Center for Hast Jyotish, serving as an international facility for studies and services in palmistry, astrology, and ayurvedic healing. The Birla Center for Hast Jyotish has been accredited by the Federal Government of Canada as an educational facility. We now offer our Introduction to
Palmistry Course Online and at our
Health Retreat. The purpose of the Birla Center is to raise the awareness of the original and authentic practice of Vedic palmistry and to help people live happier, more fulfilling lives through self-understanding.
Today, The Birla Center plays an active role in the community, volunteering its services for a wide variety of causes and charities. The Center continues to be a leader in the area of Hast Jyotish education through seminars, workshops and lectures, such as the World Association for Vedic Studies at the Dartmouth University of Massachusetts, the American Society of Dowsers in Vermont, and the International Congress of Alternative Medicines, Calcutta, India.
