From early childhood onwards, Ghanshyam remembers being instructed by his paternal grandfather, in the Vedic arts and sciences. He learned about ayurvedic herbs, massage, palmistry and astrology. Ghanshyam recalls when he was around 12 years of age standing alongside his grandfather, distributing ayurvedic herbs to villagers as his grandfather was sought out for his advice and healing. A reputed astrologer who visited the village one day, confirmed Ghanshyam's growing affinity with the esoteric sciences and predicted Ghanshyam would not only one day follow the same path as himself, but would revolutionize the subject of palmistry as well.

Educational Experience

Ghanshyam was placed in an orthodox Gurukul academy, run by arya samaj known for their position against palmistry and astrology. Long hours were spent reciting mantras, studying scriptures, and practicing meditation. While studying the ancient Vedic scriptures, Ghanshyam continued to find references to his beloved subjects. Finally, the Gurukul experience served to validate his interest in researching and practicing palmistry. At 20, in order to respect his father's wishes, he completed his B.A. majoring in philosophy, and began working towards his M.A. in Indian Literature.
